Held in conjunction with Cumberland Council on Saturday, August 17, the competition is for school aged musicians with each band or performer offered a 20-minute set.
Competition coordinator David Lester said prizes include a three-hour session at Keynote Studios and three one-hour vocal tutorials from Maytom Studios.
“The club will set up a full PA system, amps, and drum kit, so all the musos have to do is plug in and play,” he said.
“It’s for everybody from solo musicians and duos, to full bands and even orchestras if they want to enter.
“We are running the competition on the same day as our sixth annual Lidstock Music Festival, and whoever wins will get to open the show”.
