The Riot Squad was also called in to the assist police break up the melee on Bridge Street, which included people using bricks and logs as weapons.
Auburn Police Detective Inspector Karl Leis said when police arrived at the scene, it was quite chaotic with a large number of people fighting on the street.
“If people are heading out for a night, take personal responsibility because there can be life-changing consequences,” he said.
