Although access and entry to the park itself was restricted to 100 RSL sub-branch members and invited guests due to capacity limits, about 300 people also viewed the service from public areas along Miller Street and Newman Street, while many more watched online via the Merrylands RSL Club’s Facebook page.
There were also big turnouts for dawn services run by the Cumberland RSL sub-branch at Auburn Memorial Park and Remembrance Park in Lidcombe.
