RUNNERS from all over Sydney are preparing to converge on the Mirambeena Regional Park in Georges Hall for the annual Festival of the Feet.

The Georges River Festival of the Feet – to be held on Sunday, July 14, at Lake Gillawarna, Georges Hall – is shaping up to be a great day of fitness and fun.
It offers 3km, 7km, 14km or 21.1km runs, with all courses off-road and winding their way along Georges River and around Lake Gillawarna.
The event attracts more than 600 entrants of all ages, from serious competitors to fun runners, walkers and families.
Organisers say the support of sponsors goes a long way to making the event such a big success.
Renee Chahine, Relationship Manager of Bankstown Unity Bank, says being a sponsor of the Festival of the Feet is a privilege and they have been a sponsor of the race for decades.
“This shows the staying power of a great race and an even greater institution,” she said.
A spokesperson for Western Districts Joggers and Harriers, organisers of the event, said: “Just like our sponsors, we are committed to our community; we are runners and walkers of all abilities who have come together to make our lives happy and healthier.”
