Hundreds at family fun day

FORECAST rains held off and the sun shone bright as around 500 residents and visitors descended on Greenacre on Saturday to enjoy a Mega Family Fun Day (pictured) held on Waterloo Road from First National to Dusty Pink corner.

Baby & Co Childrenswear owner and fun day organiser Christine El said: “The day was to create a space for community networking, encourage locals to shop locally and increase sales and traffic for local retailers while having a fun day out with the family during the school holidays.
“Helping to make the day a massive success, I am truly grateful to community member Lance Tyrrell, Canterbury Bankstown Council’s Hayley, Helder and Richard, Fashionize owner Emma, Deputy Mayor Bilal Hayek and my mother Joumana.”
Retailers taking part included Dusty Pink by Joumana, Fashionize, Baby & Co Childrenswear, Dairee, Mojo’s Barbershop and Al Zaeem Butchery.

Supporting businesses who held stalls, included Mya Hair and Beauty Salon, Islamic Gifts by Seyda, Delightful Gifts by AJ, Mimosa Sweets, ZD Taraweehcollextion, Khatoon’s Henna & Face Paint, Maison De Luxe French Interiors, The Secret Garden by Denise, Delightful Bite, MATW Charity and Zebra Mascot with the free sausage sizzle provided by Al Zaeem Butchery.”
