The Awards honour the achievements and hard work of the local business community and provide a much-needed morale boost for businesses and their staff by allowing the community to show their appreciation and support.
The gala presentation evening at Wenty Leagues (date yet to be determined) will be “the event of the year” for local business owners and their staff, according to Awards founder and Precedent Productions managing director Steve Loe.
“It’s the night of nights, with everyone dressed in their best to enjoy a wonderful and very exciting time,” he said.
“While the evening will be a night of tremendous fun, with a three-course meal and fabulous entertainment, the stars of the show are the winners and all the fabulous and thoroughly deserving nominees.”
Mr Loe says the awards bring the community together to cheer for one another, celebrate each other’s achievements and enjoy each other’s company.
He said more than three decades of running the Awards had given him insight into how adaptable and hard-working Cumberland City businesspeople and their staff were.
“Their outstanding customer service is why the Cumberland City community continues to support them in good times and bad as well as nominating them for these awards,” he said.
“The community has shown overwhelming support for local businesses with a flood of nominations.
“Many businesses are doing it tough and now, more than ever, small businesses and their staff are needing the support of their local community.
Competition for the Awards has been so tight the judges had a tough job deciding the winners.”
The judges were extremely impressed by the calibre of this year’s nominees, saying it was very difficult to determine the winners in each category.
“It’s hardly surprising, given the outstanding quality of businesses in the Cumberland City area,” Mr Loe said.
Huge support for best businesses
IT’S been another challenging year but the Cumberland City Local Business Awards will be a well-deserved chance to celebrate.
