Volunteering provides you with a wide range of opportunities and benefits including a great pathway into employment, as the experience of helping your local community builds on your skills and knowledge.
Or if you are thinking about studying but unsure about what course to do, volunteering is a great way to gain some practical, hands on experience to assist you in making that final decision.
A free community information session, ‘Step Into Volunteering’, on offer on Monday, February 20, 11am-12.30pm, at The Carrington Centre in Campsie, is a great place to start.
You’ll learn about other benefits of volunteering, your rights and responsibilities as a volunteer and statutory checks which may be required.
“This overview is ideal for anyone thinking of volunteering or new to being a volunteer,” a previous participant and Belmore resident Sarah said.
Campsie resident Lee said: ”It was quite informative, I learnt a lot.”
Registration: Angela Gallard, 9750 9344 or angela.gallard@4cs.org.au.
