Throughout March, they will be sharing a real-life story through a series of videos capturing the adoption journey of one Sydney family and the two cats they adopted through Cat Protection Society NSW. Catnets owner Katrina Para said the stories would provide great advice to anyone considering adopting a cat.
“It’s important not only to provide a loving home, but also one that caters for your cat’s overall wellbeing,” she said.
“An outdoor cat enclosure is the perfect way to provide your cat with fresh air and stimulation in a safe environment where your cat can roam freely within the boundaries of your own backyard or balcony.
“Cat netting is easy, affordable and will help keep your cat safe and stimulated, reduce vet bills and also help protect birds and wildlife around your home.”
One resident that doesn’t need any convincing is Kylie McKendry and partner Sandy of Earlwood, after they adopted Burmese beauty ‘Marla’.
“Marla is our little girl now and important part of the family and we can’t imagine life without her,” she said.
“Unfortunately too many pounds, shelters and rescue groups are stretched beyond capacity, by adopting a cat you are literally saving a life and freeing up room for another cat in need.”
