Arrest four after finding guns, cash

HOMES at Auburn and Granville were raided by police and six men charged after an investigation into an alleged affray at a shopping centre in Sydney’s CBD last week.

Last Wednesday about 12.30pm, police were called to a shopping centre on Market Street in Sydney, following reports a group of six unknown males had been involved in an alleged affray.
A short time later, police arrested two men, aged 19 and 21, who were charged with affray.
Following further inquiries, State Crime Command’s Raptor Squad, with assistance from specialist police attached to the Tactical Operations Unit, executed search warrants at four homes at North Parramatta, Auburn, Dundas Valley and South Granville, last Friday about 6am.
Three men aged 33, 30 and 24, were arrested at North Parramatta, while a fourth man, aged 26, was arrested a short time later.
During a search of the North Parramatta home, police allegedly seized two firearms and $30,000 in cash, and $13,000 from the Auburn home.
All six were charged with affray.
