Home sprayed with bullets

POLICE believe a Merrylands home peppered with bullets overnight was a case of mistaken identity.

The attack was described by police as “disgraceful… and it’s usually an act by a coward in the middle of the night” and “unfortunately, they often get the wrong place”.
Police were called to the Myall Street home about 10pm after several shots were fired from a light-coloured vehicle, and luckily no-one was injured.
A short time later, Police were called to Bennett Street, Bass Hill, where they found a car – possibly linked to shooting – on fire.
Anyone with information about this incident is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
