Investigations under Strike Force Pangolin began in August last year and Detective Chief Inspector Steve Patton said that since then, it is alleged that a syndicate supplied prohibited drugs worth half a million dollars throughout Sydney.
Just before 11am on Wednesday, February 10, strike force detectives stopped a Range Rover SUV at Courallie Avenue in Homebush and allegedly seized more than $5,000 in cash.
A short time later during a search of a Flemington warehouse, police also allegedly seized a pen gun, ammunition, prescription medication, steroids and a small quantity of illegal drugs inside a truck.
During a search of a Greenacre home, officers also allegedly seized designer handbags, sunglasses and watches valued at $30,000 and more than $25,000 cash, as well a Nissan Skyline GT-R, valued at $160,000.
Police also searched a Dodge SUV towing a boat located near the Greenacre property and allegedly seized nearly a kilogram of drugs including heroin, methylamphetamine (ice) and cocaine.
Chief Insp Patton said police would allege that the truck driver was also “utilising registered post to send cocaine interstate”.
Strike Force detectives have already put three people, two men, aged 39 and 43, and a 52-year-old woman, before the courts on drug-related offences.
Investigations are continuing.
