Phillip Daidone Realty agent Frank La Malfa says they will be able to get a lot more buyers through the doors.
“It hasn’t been easy conducting single inspections and more potential buyers will feel comfortable travelling,” he said.
“There are also plenty of buyers that have been holding off and we expect buyer confidence to improve, even on how strong it has been, once the Local Government Area opens up.”
However, L J Hooker Auburn agent Themy Panagiotidis has concerns the Government may be planning to tighten lending regulations which may impact the market.
“We’ll have to wait and see but being able to offer group inspections again will be fantastic; that’s been my biggest bug bear as there’s been a lot of standing around waiting for potential buyers to turn up for appointments,” he said.
“It is very exciting that we are getting close to normal again.”
Also able to operate through the lockdown on a ‘click and collect’ basis, florists are also thrilled at the prospect of having customers back in store and more weddings on their books.
“All we’ve been doing lately are funerals,” a Merrylands Freshcut Flowers spokesperson said.
Home buyer confidence expected to boom
AMONG the rare businesses able to operate during the lockdown, real estate agents are thrilled as the lifting of lockdown looms and auctions and open homes resume face to face.
