Home away from home for boys across country

STARTING out as a “farm school” in 1926, St Gregory’s is now a contemporary College offering high-quality education and boarding facilities to young men from all over the country.

For thousands of boarding students, St Gregory’s has been their home away from home, the place where they have made lifelong friends.
Students are given opportunities to fulfil their potential on the sporting field and in the classroom with links to the local and international community and, of course, rural Australia.
One of the great strengths of the College is the semi-rural setting within easy reach of city amenities, with the boys enjoying spacious surroundings which are the envy of many a visiting school.
Each boy has their own room allowing for privacy, as well as having a common room and kitchen facilities within each House, ensuring a very inclusive and family-orientated environment.
In addition to each House having a live-in supervisor, there is a Boarding Coordinator for each stage of boarding – Stage 4, Stage 5 and Stage 6.
The Boarding Houses, including on-site accommodation for visiting parents, are situated away from the main school buildings allowing boys to make the distinction between school and home.
Boys have the opportunity to use the many College facilities including the playing fields, swimming pool, tennis courts, basketball courts, cricket nets and the College Learning Centre which is open for extended hours as well as opportunities to excel in rugby league, rugby union, soccer, AFL, touch football, basketball, cricket, athletics, cross-country and swimming.
This involves travelling to and hosting schools from Sydney and regional NSW on Thursdays and Saturdays.
Boys also help look after the farm and take part in community service regularly, both in and outside the College.
