Flight Examiner Eugene Cleary took them for a fly in the AW139 Full Flight Simulator at the purpose-built Aeromedical Crewing Excellence (ACE) Training Centre which provides state-of-the-art simulation technology unparalleled in Australia.
Eugene said the stars were amazed at the reality of the simulator and the skill required to fly the aircraft.
“Even though he previously got to fly in the F/A-18 for the film you could tell Top Gun actor Glenn was genuinely thrilled to fly the AW139,” he said.
“He certainly showed promise as a future helicopter pilot.”
