Bankstown Canterbury Community Transport (BCCT) is providing transport to polling booths on election day and also to local pre-polling centres in the lead-up to the election.
A busy month, BCCT is hosting an array of social activities for clients, along with its regular services.
Some of these include the Monday and Friday adventures where clients visit museums, art galleries, parks, beaches and historic homes, specialty shopping on Tuesdays including to destinations such as Flower Power, Bunnings, Spotlight and Ikea, dinner at various clubs on Wednesdays, ‘Out and about’ Thursdays to various shopping centres and fun at the BCCT Social Club every second Thursday including arts and crafts, games and trivia shared over morning tea.
“As the weather starts to cool down, BCCT members are keen to get out and about, taking advantage of our wonderful social outings that are fun and affordable,” a spokesperson said.
“BCCT continues to offer safe and convenient transport, helping less mobile residents stay on top of their practical tasks, including health and medical appointments, shopping – and voting.”
