Club hitting home runs

HITTING plenty of home runs, East Hills Baseball Club (EHBC) had a very successful 2022-23 season with three of their junior teams coming away winners in the Cronulla Sutherland Junior Baseball Association competitions.

EH Div 1 T-Ball Cubs were undefeated and coached by Todd Maclean, EH Div 3 T-Ball Astros coached by Paul Muir, won their competition and the Little League Minor Black EH Angels coached by Peter and Jill Archer, continued with their winning streak, scoring their fourth straight championship victory.
The EH 3rd Grade Redsox, coached by Peter Archer, won their division which also clinched the Cronulla Sutherland Minor League Club Championship trophy for EHBC.
EHBC Vice President Jill Archer said the club was well represented in the Cronulla Representative teams, having nine boys play in the BNSW Rookie Reps tournament and five players selected to play in Cronulla Little League Minors 10/11 Rep teams at the BNSW State Championships at Narrabeen.
“Tristan Crynes was selected in the CSJBA Junior League Rep team that won the BNSW Sydney Cup ahead of scoring a bronze medal at the nationals in Adelaide,” she said.
“We also had three players play in the Association Cup which they won.”
Jill said EHBC was looking forward to another successful season, having a new clubhouse and fantastic grounds with lights adding to the pleasure of playing at Kelso North Park.
“Our registrations for all baseball teams are now open,” she said.
There will also be a senior trial night on Sunday, August 6, from 6pm.
