Canterbury Earlwood Caring Association Ltd (CECAL) is offering an online masterclass, ‘Understanding our Gorgeous, Confused Girls’, on Thursday, September 9, 8-9.30pm, followed by a reflection session on Tuesday, September 14, 8-9pm.
With facilitators – author, educator and resilience specialist Maggie Dent and author, educator and award-winning presenter Michelle Mitchell, the masterclass will cover: Girl culture; turning fears, challenges and disappointments into positive change; friendship issues; the online world; family support figures and finding identity, purpose and voice.
Parents only pay $5 (not the $35 standard fee) if they commit to attending the reflection session the following week.

CECAL is hosting the Olympics Online Escape Room for 11 to 14-year-olds over four weeks and starting on Monday, August 16, 4-5.15pm.
Teams must work together to complete goals and quit the escape room as fast as they can, with individual players’ performances scored.
After the Olympics close, the winning team and player of the series will be announced.
For young people wanting to learn computing coding, new class Scratch will help your early teen to learn how to program interactive stories, games and animations and share their creations.
Fun, engaging and educational, the class is on offer on Thursdays from August 19, 4-5pm.
