She took over from her mother in 1971 after four years in the Queensland Ballet Company.
Rhonda has choreographed the dances and trained dancers for Toni Steven’s Oktoberfest from 1985 to 2010 and the Polka dot dancers in the movie ‘Young Einstein’.
She opened a second studio in Auburn in 1982, with many of her students succeeding in the field of dance and going onto successful careers in theatre; other students have opened their own successful dance studios.
“My students have won many scholarships and competitions over the years and have always had excellent results in their examinations,” Rhonda said.
“We have a small, intimate group of students at RBS, ensuring that every student achieves their personal best. We cater for children as young as two years old up to adults. Everyone is welcomed with open arms.
“Last year’s grand concert, ‘This Was 2020’, referenced the impacts of Covid, isolation and lockdown, and was a resounding success with some spectacular performances.
“We head into 2021 looking forward to teaching students to learn, perform, excel and soar to the heights that dancers can achieve in the arts world; we look forward to the next generation of students at RBS.”
