Help support Christmas needy

THE Salvos want to leave no one in need this Christmas, and they need the generosity of the community to help them “support locals doing it really tough”.

Captain Frank Wang from The Salvation Army Bankstown, says while Christmas is a time of joy and celebration for many, others doing it tough can find it an extremely difficult.
He has appealed to the community to dig deep and provide donations including toys, non-perishable food and gift cards.
“Christmas is the busiest time of the year for The Salvos across the country, and we expect this year to be no different,” he said.
“The increased isolation, financial stress and mental health impacts of Covid-19 this year will only exacerbate these issues.
“We don’t want anyone to go it alone this year; if you need food, gifts, financial support or are feeling lonely, please get in touch with us.
“Anyone in need this Christmas can reach out to us at The Salvos and we’ll do all we can to support you.”
Drop off you donations at 42 Raymond Street, Bankstown, or for more information, call 9790 6672 or visit salvationarmy.org.au/bankstown.
