Help for student with disability to find work

A WORKSHOP to bring families together to connect and increase confidence to seek out “real, paid employment” for their secondary school student with disability, will be held at Canterbury League Club this Friday.

The Resourcing Inclusive Communities workshop is an initiative of Family Advocacy NSW, which provides capacity building to support people with disability, “so they can live meaningful lives as valued members of their communities”.
“By ‘real’ employment we mean regular and meaningful jobs, where people with disability are working alongside people without disability,” a spokesperson said.
The workshop will be held 9.15am-4pm and costs $35 for people with disability and families, and $50 for professionals, including morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea.
