As a clinical consultant at Healthshare, Janice is part of a clinical panel that provides clinical advice and insight on product development for HealthShare referrals, HealthShare factsheets and its premium pre-consultation questionnaire, Better Consult. These products are widely used by thousands of Australian GPs to help improve their workflow and provide patient-centred care.
Janice also helped to provide clinical oversight on Healthshare’s partnership with Astra Zeneca to utilise Better Consult to encourage more kidney health screening in primary care as part of chronic kidney disease prevention.
“I feel incredibly honoured to receive this PenCS Award in digital innovation,” she said.
“As GPs, we are faced with increasing pressures from a diminishing workforce, patient expectations as well as a strained healthcare system.
“I strongly believe that digital health solutions are a key strategy to help GPs deliver quality patient-centred care to the best of their scope and that has always been the ethos in my work within this space.”
