Home after hospital stay
MISSION Australia will deliver a $20 million NSW Government program helping people leaving hospital and other health facilities to avoid homelessness. Minister for Communities, Gareth Ward, said: “Nobody should find themselves homeless after hospital, and we are partnering with Mission Australia to deliver a program that focuses on early intervention to find people in hospital the support they need to live independently after they leave.”

Youth technology tutors
THERE are so many ways we can use technology to stay healthy and happy as we age but there is so much out there it can be good to get some help from the younger generation. At workshops featuring one on one tuition with student volunteers, you’ll learn how to upload photos from your phone, navigate Facebook, find a useful app or make a spotify playlist. The next is on at Ashfield Boys High on Tuesday, May 28, 9.15-10.15am. Book by emailing heather.gorton@det.nsw.edu.au or call 0412 114 640.
