Have ball at five-a-side soccer

WANT to improve your soccer skills fast? Or are you looking for a fun activity to do with colleagues or friends?

Bankstown Community Football’s five-a-side competition is a great vehicle to improve key skills that are transferrable to 11-a-side soccer.
Close-control, passing, creativity and movement are a few attributes that will receive significant boosts as you play on the much smaller pitches.
Established about 10 years ago and under the management of Pete Deall for the last seven years, the competition takes place next to Revesby swimming pool in Amour Park.
“We offer community-focused programs and our floodlit, all-weather sports pitches are perfect for a game of five-a-side soccer and with two size options, our pitches are versatile and fitted with quality synthetic turf,” he said.
“We are continually looking to improve our presence and offer a variety of programs for youth, seniors and women to promote inclusiveness.”
Deall said the benefits of playing five-a-side were vast, including players enjoying whole games, receiving the ball more regularly with more attacking and defending opportunities.
“You can register to play in one of our competitions or make a casual group booking,” he said.
“You could even be the talk of the playground and host a football party for your little soccer star’s next special occasion.”
