Guns, walking cane with sword in stash

A MAN has been charged after police allegedly seized a sub machine gun following the search of a house at Guildford.

Strike Force Orca is an ongoing investigation by Bankstown Detectives into the drug supply, drug manufacture, firearm possession and mid-level organised crime within the Bankstown area.
Just before 7.30am (Tuesday, December 5), investigators attached to Strike Force Orca, along with specialist police, attended the house in Albert Street, where they located a sub machine gun, a replica handgun, a sling shot, one round of ammunition, a home-made walking cane with a retractable sword and a quantity of what police will allege in Court to be Butanediol.
A 46-year-old man, who was subject to a Firearms Prohibition Order and a Weapons Prohibition Order, was charged with eight offences, with inquiries continuing.
