A report into alleged branch stacking conducted last year by former Queensland Labor state secretary Evan Moorhead, found she had breached party rules but his report handed to party officials in March, recommended no action be taken against her.
However in June, Ms Finn stood aside from her roles as Shadow Minister for Consumer Protection and Carers and called for an internal review to “urgently consider matters raised about me in an anonymous dossier and in the Moorhead independent review”.
Since being cleared of the allegations by Labor’s Internal Appeal Tribunal, Ms Finn told the Review last week that she was “thrilled” by the result and also thanked her supporters.
“I always maintained that I did attend the meeting in question and had committed no wrong doing, and I’m pleased to be back at work in the Shadow Cabinet,” she said.
“I was inundated by support from the community, from people who supported me and believed in my integrity and I just want to thank them for their support.”
