Centre owner and manager Maya Chauchan said the afternoon was a huge success with the grandparents enjoying afternoon tea with the younger generation before being shown around the classrooms and viewing all the arts and crafts.
“I think they were all impressed and delighted with what they saw,” she said.
“We are always keen to include our wonderful community who are incredibly supportive of any of our initiatives.”
With Grandparent’s Day back on the annual agenda, Maya says it’s vital to have the older generations included in the lifestyle and upbringing of the young.
“Children can learn so much from grandparents who are wiser and it is so important for them to know there is someone else to turn to, apart from parents, as they grow older,” she said.
