State MP for Bankstown, Tania Mihailuk, said Bankstown had been particularly impacted by the devastating effects of this pandemic and she wanted to recognise the tireless work of those keeping the community safe.
She visited Dr Yu Yu Tin’s Surgery in Georges Hall to present her and the staff with a framed Community Recognition Statement, recognising and paying tribute to them for providing access to health resources and vaccines every day during this challenging time.
She also took the opportunity to thank Dr Tin, Dr Daniel Wynn, Dr Christina Wynn and Dr Patrick Yue for their hard work.
The electorate of Bankstown has now passed a 90 per cent first dose vaccination rate.
“Our local healthcare workers have been essential in keeping our community safe, every day throughout the pandemic,” Ms Mihailuk said.
“I was pleased to recognise our wonderful healthcare workers and visit Dr Tin’s surgery to thank her and her team for all their commitment during such a challenging time.”
Dr Tin said: “We are really pleased to have played a role in vaccinating our patients in Georges Hall.”
