It was the 77th time Bankstown Golf Club had hosted the event, which received in excess of 100 entries – and for the first time, four women competed.
The morning field was fortunate to have the better playing conditions compared to the afternoon players who endured not only some pretty stiff winds but also a brief hammering of rain.
Despite these trying conditions, two of the afternoon players – Stefanie Hall and Joshua Fuller – posted impressive 2 over par rounds to be joint runners-up while the eventual winner did come from the morning field with an even par round.
