Going strong and loving life

LONGTIME Merrett Crescent, Greenacre, residents Con and Despina Theodoridis celebrated their 60th Wedding Anniversary early this month.

They were married at St Francis Church in Surry Hills on September 12, 1959.
With Con a railway station assistant and Despina a machinist, they raised three daughters – Irene, Linda and Jane – who produced seven grandchildren – Charissa, Dena and Zoe, Georgie and Robbie, and Arkie and Zion.

Still going strong and enjoying a family celebration to mark their anniversary, Con and Despina love to travel.
Daughter Irene said: “They don’t really have any hobbies apart from their great veggie garden and are a very outgoing couple.
“Very popular, they love meeting up with their friends to socialise at dance parties and dinners and outings within the Greek community.
“They’ve always looked after us three girls and their grandchildren and are always there when we need them.”
