Gobble up for challenge

LESS than 4 minutes… that’s how long it took for Winnalit Bhunthumwatcharod to demolish the Basement Brewhouse Burger Challenge last Thursday night.

Nine competitors took their seats just before 7pm as food blogger and event MC Jesse Freeman ran through the rules, while the Mighty Brew Beasts, fries and shakes were set down in front of each person.
The eating began at 7.15pm and within 4 minutes, Winnalit had devoured everything to claim the $250 cash prize, as well as a Brewhouse t-shirt and cap.

Winnalit, who lives in Ultimo, has only been involved in competitive eating challenges for a couple of months but is already ranked at number 20 in the official Competitive Eating Australia ranks.
The runner-up was Chris Hingston from Eastwood, who is a regular on the competitive eating circuit. He took home a Brewhouse Growler Gift Pack, a Brewhouse t-shirt and cap.
All of the other entrants managed to finish their meals within the 30-minute time limit and were rewarded with a drink voucher and a Brewhouse bottle opener.
