Two online talks will be offered this month for adults and HSC students, courtesy of St John Ambulance Granville Combined Division and co-sponsored by Cumberland Council.
St John Divisional Officer at Granville, Didier Moutia says the sessions aim to provide practical support people can implement and advice from experts.
“By us talking about mental health openly, more people may also be encouraged to seek professional help,” he said.
Louise Murphy is the presenter of the Mental Health Session on Tuesday, October 11, from 6.30pm.
“Questions are encouraged and can be asked at each session,” Didier said.
HSC survivor of 2020, Kelly Ni will facilitate the HSC Session on Wednesday, October 12, at 6:30pm.
“This session is designed to help HSC students navigate these times,” Didier said.
“Kelly will talk about how she balanced studying, social life and St John.
“The session will also include tips on self care needs and is a great opportunity for HSC candidates feeling under pressure.”
