Students from Birrong Girls’ High School (pictured) took part in the last lunch, engaging with police and discussing “all things important to them” while enjoying lunch catered by Auburn Youth Centre.
Auburn Police Youth Officer, Senior Constable Gabriella Di Marino, said the lunches were designed to help build rapport with female youth and build confidence in seeking support by police when required.
“Many interesting and mature conversations were held and it is good to see that young girls are leading the way in overcoming challenges,” Snr Cnst Di Marino.
“If any local schools are interested in being involved in this program in future, they are encouraged to contact Auburn Youth Centre.”
