Earlier this year, the Eels invited their junior sports participants to donate their used boots and, in return, upgrade to a larger size at their special boot swap event.
School Principal Grace Carlo-Stella said the Eels’ visit, aimed at ensuring that all young athletes had access to proper gear, was a resounding success and the students were excited and grateful.
“This initiative has been incredible for our students,” she said.
“The correct footwear is essential for their safety and performance, and thanks to the Parramatta Eels, our students can now compete to the best of their abilities – it was wonderful to see all the smiles on their faces.”
