Giants topple again

IT was another bad week for the Giants who went down to the Western Bulldogs by 61 points at home on Sunday.

After a slow start, the Giants fought back but in a worrying sign for coach Leon Cameron, they had no answer as the Dogs kicked all of the final 12 goals of the match in a dominant performance, to win 19.12 (126) to 9.11 (65).
While confident the Giants can still salvage their season, Cameron apologised to fans after the match admitting “it’s not good enough”.
“We need to be better than that because that’s not going to stack up against any side in the finals,” he said.
Sitting in sixth on the ladder, the Giants wind up the regular season with a trip north to the Gold Coast to take on the Suns on Sunday.
