Thanks to a three-year sponsorship from Cumberland City Council, valued at $24,000, the Cumberland Police Command now has a new police car to use when attending community events, working on crime prevention and engaging with young people.
Detective Superintendent Paul Devaney, Commander of the Cumberland, said the new vehicle would bolster the existing community-focused police work.
He is pictured receiving the key from Mayor Steve Christou who says it shows the strong partnership the council has with NSW Police “to make our area a safe and enjoyable place to live”.
