Get start in beauty world

IF you’re interested in exploring a career in beauty but unsure where to start, Granville TAFE and Cumberland Council are offering residents a free, month-long, online course starting this Friday in ‘Retail Skills for Beauty’.

TAFE NSW Head Teacher of Hair and Beauty, Sherelle Mondolo, said it was a fantastic opportunity to get started in the beauty industry with some amazing practical activities on offer including assessment tasks, theory and how to communicate with clients and your salon team.
“We will be looking to develop your nail salon skills, covering manicures, hand massage, nail art and French polishing,” she said.
“Once you register, we will post you a nail kit with art and false nails for you to practise with.
“Even professional makeup artists need to have nail care skills and this course will seek to address common knowledge gaps like communicating with clients to assess their needs and expectations.”
Upon completion of the course which runs from this Friday, October 22, to Wednesday, November 24, 10.30am-1.30pm, participants will receive a Statement of Attainment – Retails Skills for Beauty.
You could then use this as a credit transfer into a Certificate 3 course in Beauty or Nail Skills.
