Get party started at a rocking RSL

Stars to shine at Petersham

KICKING off the spectacular line-up of free entertainment at Petersham RSL Club this weekend, Jo M will get the party started on Thursday from 7.30pm.
Jo is a lady with a big voice and a personality that captures the crowd. She has spent many nights as lead vocalist for Sydney cover bands and using that experience, has forged a solo career that sees her working four shows a week. Jo is as much at home singing jazz as she is with rock standards and the latest releases so she can grab any crowd of any age.

Then on Friday from 7.30pm, the melodic Jo Elms will showcase her dynamic acoustic style which blends with a love of jazz and soul music as well as her Celtic heritage.
She’s won awards for her original compositions in the 25th Australian National Songwriting Contest and the Musicoz awards and has given electric performances at The Manly International Jazz Festival and The Darling Harbour Jazz and Blues Festival among many others.
Head back to the club on Saturday from 8pm, to hear award-winning duo in Take Two.
Take two versatile entertainers – Kerrie who built on formal voice and piano training to tour with successful shows, and Darryl who after studying classical guitar, took to the stage as well as arranging music – and put them together, and what have you got – Take Two.
Expect to hear hits by Meatloaf, Billy Ray Cyrus, Deni Hines and many more from the solid gold seventies.
Renowned for creating a party atmosphere with their Islander infused reggae, fronted by soulful vocals and backed by blissful harmonies, The Oscar Kami Duo wind up with the weekend, taking to the stage 2pm on Sunday.
