Teaching about 125 people weekly, from three years to mature-aged, Sharlene says she managed to operate her business with Covid safety protocols throughout last year.
“We are open seven days a week and offer daytime, after school and evening classes, with the cost of an hour’s lesson just $20,” she said.
Classes include a sketching and drawing component followed by acrylic painting, with all materials supplied and students able to take home their masterpieces.
“I’ve also been having success with special needs students since art helps to centre you, you forget all of your troubles and with children on the autism spectrum, it improves their social skills too.
“Retirees often find they have a hidden talent and just need a bit of help unleashing it.”
