A breakup can be extremely painful because it represents the loss, not just of the partnership, but also of the dreams and commitments you shared.
Would you like support understanding your grief around the relationship and ‘what could have been’?
If you need help releasing old attachments and moving forward to healing, then the ‘Rebuilding After Separation’ online course, starting tomorrow, May 3, and then weekly until May 31, 6-8pm, might be perfect for you.
Hosted by Cumberland Council and the Women’s Resilience Centre, the course is essential for women wishing to reset their lives after experiencing domestic violence, trauma or deep loss.
Facilitator Wende Jowsey says sometimes it takes years to move on after a break-up or trauma.
“It’s sometimes very hard to rebuild on your own but having the tools to work with and the support of other women can make all the difference,” she said.
This online course comes ahead of an ‘Employment Readiness for Women’ course which is aimed at achieving job success for women who have had setbacks due to domestic violence or trauma; it gets underway weekly from Friday, May 5-June 2, 12-1.30pm.
The course is ideal for getting help to reset your brain for starting or changing employment.
“It will also provide support to those seeking employment and help with resumes, applications and interviews,” a spokesperson said.
