Gear up to help count of Super Sunday riders

THE Bicycle Network is counting on more volunteers signing up to help gather information about weekend bike riders and walkers this Sunday.

Super Sunday tallies and records information about people using off-road trails and paths to help councils and planners understand how they are used, what improvements can be made and what can be learnt for future developments.
As well as the number and direction of travel of riders and walkers, observational information is also gathered about gender, age and the size of groups.
Other things that get added to tally sheets include electric scooters, dogs and the occasional swooping magpie.
Volunteers will be given $140 to put towards their Bicycle Network membership or donate to a charity or community group of their choice. Volunteer packs will include a blue Super Sunday t-shirt, count sheets and instructions.
Registrations and more information about the count, can be found at bicyclenetwork.com.au.
