Gardener invite to ‘Crop Swap’

CROP Swaps are an easy and fun way to connect with your local community, reduce waste and eat better for less.

In a first for the area, local gardeners with produce to swap – think vegetables, fruit, herbs, edible plants and seeds, are invited to enjoy the benefits at a Crop Swap this Saturday, December 9, at Chester Hill Neighbourhood Centre (CHNC), 1-3pm.
An opportunity to exchange growing tips and stories and to experience the buzz of a new growing season, attendees are invited to share the produce they have grown and love with others and to find good homes for any they have too many of.
CHNC’ Manager Dale Donadel hopes to feature the Crop Swap as a regular event.
“If you have produce to swap, this is a fantastic opportunity to meet like-minded gardeners and pick up some homegrown produce which you don’t have,” she said.
“I invite all gardeners with produce to come on down and help make our first Crop Swap a success.”
Light refreshments will be served.
