The fundraiser will be hosted by Captain Frank Wang with entertainment by Anthony Maarraoui and all proceeds will support the local Salvos.
A professional musician of 28 years, travelling all over the world, Anthony is delighted and passionate to help the Salvation Army Bankstown raise money to help others in need.
“Love and generosity is what we need right now, to help all of us in these difficult times. Please join me at Bankstown RSL for this very special occasion,“ he said.
Captain Wang said the Bankstown community has always rallied together and supported the Red Shield Appeal year after year and “this year is no different”.
“We need the help of community members more than ever as we continue to support those who have felt the devastating impacts of the past few years,” he said.
Captain Wang has worked at the Salvation Army Bankstown Community Centre for six years and has been a vital community leader helping people in need through a variety of services that include: Courtyard Cafe open Wednesday and Friday for lunch, Bankstown Service Hub, which is a collaboration between Centrelink, FACS Housing, Anglicare, Mission Australia, Metroassist – helping people with completed financial and housing issues, special needs and emergency assistance.
