Free kidnapped

IN a blaze of smoke and commotion, Robbery and Serious Crime Squad detectives arrested 11 men at a Revesby industrial warehouse about 2pm yesterday after a man was allegedly kidnapped during a home invasion and a factory set alight.

About 3am on Tuesday, police attended a home at Jersey Road, Bringelly, following reports a man had been abducted.
They were told that a group of men – one armed with a firearm – forced their way into the house and confronted two male occupants – aged 37 and 61.
The older man was allegedly assaulted by the men, before the younger man was forced into a vehicle outside.
Detectives, with assistance from the Tactical Operations Unit (TOU) and police negotiators, attended the industrial warehouse at Marigold Street, Revesby, and following negotiations, the 37-year-old Bringelly man was released into police custody and taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries to his head and face.
The Revesby property was set on fire, before eight men were arrested by tactical police.
A further three men were arrested after arriving in a vehicle to the property during the operation.
The men were taken to Liverpool and Bankstown police stations where charges are expected to be laid.
Inquiries are continuing.
