Free flowering plant, tree offer

FREE native flowering plants, shrubs and trees will be offered to residents to help “protect our environment and cool our city”.

You can choose from Myrtle Wattle, Hairpin Banksia, Thyme Honey, Kangaroo Grass, Lantern Banksia and Brush Cherry.
A spokesperson said trees made a huge difference to the environment and our lives, providing shade, privacy, homes for wildlife and helping to cool our communities.
“They also have immense benefits for our health and well-being, let alone adding beauty to a home,” she said.
Get yours at Granville Park, Merrylands on Wednesday, March 9, 9am-noon; Wyatt Park, Lidcombe on Friday, March 11, 9am-noon, Auburn Depot Nursery on Wednesday, March 16, 9-12.
To join the free tree program, you will need to register at cumberland.nsw.gov.au.
