Four charged over ‘burnouts’

A MAN and three teenagers have been charged with a range of driving offences including burnouts and driving while suspended.

About 9pm on Thursday, four men allegedly conducted burnouts at Reconciliation Rise, Pemulwuy.
Officers from Strike Force Puma commenced an investigation and identified the men.
On Friday, July 12, officers attended a property in Greystanes and spoke to a 17-year-old. He was issued with an infringement notice for committing a burnout.
On Monday, July 15, police attended a residence in Greystanes and spoke to an 18-year-old. He was issued with a field court attendance notice for three counts of aggravated burnout, providing a false statement and driving while suspended. His vehicle was seized and towed.
On Wednesday, July 17, officers attended a residence in Guildford and spoke to an 18-year-old. He was issued a field court attendance notice for aggravated burnout and had his licence suspended. His vehicle was seized and towed.
On Thursday, July 18, officers attended a property in Merrylands and spoke to a 20-year-old man. He was issued a field court attendance notice for aggravated burnout (2) and his licence was suspended.
Strike Force Puma will continue to gather intelligence and monitor high-risk drivers and high-risk driving behaviour.
