Fought off attacker

DETECTIVES charged a man after a woman fought off an alleged attack in Chester Hill last Thursday.
The 27-year-old woman was walking home from Chester Hill Railway Station about 6.15pm when a man allegedly put a belt around her neck and pulled it towards him. The woman turned around and confronted the man who ran away.
Detectives arrested a 23-year-old man at a home in Bent Street, Chester Hill, two days later.
He has been charged with attempting to take person intent commit serious indictable offence, stalk/intimidate intend fear physical etc harm, sexually touch another person without consent and common assault.

Robbed, assaulted
POLICE are appealing for help after a man was knocked unconscious before his phone, wallet, watch, a ring and cash were stolen last Thursday night.
About 8pm, emergency services were called to a carpark in Wellington Road, Birrong, after a man was found lying on the ground suffering bleeding and facial injuries.
The 22-year-old man was taken to Liverpool Hospital in a stable condition.
Investigators are urging any witnesses or anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area at the time to come forward.
