Jamie Dib has been appointed Development Officer whose sole objective will be to encourage students to be involved in football, as SCS and Sydney FC collaborate on a variety of initiatives.
The organisations will work together to identify and nurture young footballers within the SCS system, providing specialised development programs that focus on enhancing skills and potential.
They will also introduce football-related educational programs that align with the curriculum, offering students valuable insights into the sport’s technical, tactical and strategic aspects.
SCS students will have unique opportunities to learn from professional football coaching staff through mentorship programs, helping students gain insights into the world of football and develop critical life skills.
The partnership will also see the introduction of a dedicated Sydney FC/SCS Game.
Dib said he was excited to be delivering the partnership between Sydney FC and SCS.
“Being an Alumni from St Peter Chanel Catholic Primary School, Regents Park and Trinity Catholic College, Auburn (and coming through the Sydney Catholic School Pathway from K-12) makes me even more passionate about ensuring this partnership is a success,” he said.
“I hope to provide students with experiences that I would have loved to have when I was in school.
“I can’t wait to play my part in their development, and to begin delivering some of our exciting opportunities for students.”
