The Revesby resident has also just been awarded two scholarships to undertake Actuary and Economics studies at NSW University and says he is thrilled to have been named a finalist.
“I am passionate about social justice and loved advocating for youth in my role on the NSW Youth Parliament,” he said.
“We presented a Bill to the Legislative Assembly for increasing mental health services and access to those services in regional areas across the State and that plan is now looking likely.”
Also starting up fundraisers while still at school, Sebastian has helped raise thousands of dollars for the Good Works Shave, St Vincent de Paul and poor communities in Cambodia.
He also set up a Breakfast Club at the school.
“I just love helping communities and part of that is advocating Catholic values; I’m always looking for ways to help,” he said.
Winners will be announced in June and receive $2,000 in prizes and a trophy.
