Tony (pictured with her artwork) said the symbols used in the painting represented different parts of Reconciliation.
“The snake is paving the way for all indigenous to come together, going over mountains near and far so they can talk to each other, share, learn, trade and dance – so it echoes out for all to see, learn, and listen,” she said.
“The symbols on the left stand for community; men, women and children all working together for reconciliation.”
Mayor Khal Asfour says the artwork will bring the significance of National Reconciliation Week to the front of mind for our entire community.
