Flavour up life with tips

MASTER a diverse range of international dishes from countries including Afghanistan, Zambia, Ethiopia, Iran, Pakistan, Zimbabwe and the Congo, with the Flavours of Auburn winter cooking classes.

Led by community cooks, each of the three-hour long cooking classes offers a chance to learn new recipes from scratch before joining your fellow ‘masterchefs’ to share in a dinner feast at the end of the evening.
Each class can also cater for a range of dietary requirements with a number of classes focusing on vegan dishes.
Focusing on Afghan cuisine, the next cooking class will be held at the Auburn Centre for Community on Friday, July 5, from 6pm to 9pm.
Hosted by the Auburn Small Community Organisation Network (ASCON), an organisation that supports small and emerging communities, the classes cost $70 general admission; $50 for Cumberland residents; or $45, student/concession.
Other upcoming classes include Zambian cooking on July 19; Vegan Ethiopian on August 16; Iranian and Pakistani on August 23; Zimbabwean and Congolese on September 6; and Afghani on September 20.
